Five New-To-You Book Bloggers to Follow in 2023

In taking a look back at my online activity this year, lots of things have changed. One thing, however, I found was lacking in my weekly routine: I never set aside time to read other blogs like I had hoped. So, for today’s blog post, here are five (both new-to-you and new-to-me) book bloggers to follow in 2023.

A License to Quill

Lori Alden Holuta is an author, editor, book reviewer, foodie, forager, gardener, and avant-garde crocheter who can’t imagine life without the internet, even though she was born… er, well, a few years before it was invented, more or less.

She’s been an enthusiastic participant in the digital world since 1986, starting with local bulletin boards, before succumbing to the glitzy allure of Prodigy, where she met friends who are still a part of her life today, including that one guy she married. After Prodigy came CompuServe, where she earned her Free Flag as a moderator in the Science Fiction Television forums (or ‘fora’ as she prefers, but has been told it’s pretentious, even though it IS the plural of ‘forum’. Sigh.) She also enjoyed Usenet, especially the rec.arts boards for MST3K and Babylon 5. Many friendships formed in Usenet as still treasured and enjoyed today.

Between the Lines

I’ve been writing reviews and blogging about those books I’ve enjoyed for a few years now and still find it very satisfying and pleasurable. Apart from anything else, it’s a good way for me to keep track of the books I read and listen to and if it’s helpful and/or enjoyable for others so much the better.

All reviews on the blog are just my personal opinions and thoughts on books I’ve read/listened to, they’re not meant to be professional critiques. I hope you enjoy reading them nevertheless.

I’m also enjoying photography and take my camera wherever I go. My photos are under copyright as my own, any others are taken from resources on the internet.

Brooke Blogs

Hello! I’m Brooke, I’m 33 years old, and I live in small-town Ohio with my loving little family. Thank you so much for visiting Brooke Blogs! I’m excited to tell you a little about me and why I blog. I have a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and I work as the teen & children’s program specialist at my local public library. I have a great boyfriend, Donny. I have two daughters: Keira is 14 years old and Natalie is 5 years old. I am also starting my own business: The Bee’s Knees VA, where I take care of the small things, so you can focus on what you love.

I am an avid reader! My Kindle is never far from me. I love to play games on Club Pogo. I really like technology. Whenever I have spare time, which is rare ;),  I follow several blogs and like learning how others raise their families, as well as learning about new products and services through blogs.

Everyday Reading

Welcome to Everyday Reading! I’m Janssen and I LOVE books. My biggest goal is to help everyone find books that help them remember or discover for the first time how FUN reading can be.

Boring books? I’ve got no time for those and I’m guessing you don’t either. I’m only interested in the books that keep you up all night long because you just can’t put the book down.

My first career was a children’s librarian and there’s nothing I love more than finding the perfect book, whether it’s for me, my children, or my blog readers.
